AN EVALUATION OF NETWORKING GOVERNANCE TO ADDRESS CLIMATE CHANGE

Md. Abdus Samad

Abstract

Due to climate change the increase of carbon dioxide is quite high now and this may cause surface warming to get higher than that of the 20th century. The international community has taken a series of initiatives to combat innumerable climatic hazards. But the challenge of climate change has not substantially been addressed because of the reluctance of the nations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The problems like environmental and climate change issues have no boundary and can affect the entire globe. At this juncture in the absence of a sturdy world environmental leadership networking governance is working to bring on the question of climate change. The paper is an attempt to evaluate the role of ‘Networking Governance’ to address the climate change in global context. The present work will also illustrate the important contributions of both public and private actors in this regard.
