Corporate Social Responsibility in Public Sector Enterprises – A Case Study of Singareni Collieries Company Limited

Abstract


The present study provides the importance of Corporate Social responsibility and the mandatory guidelines as per the new amendments of Companies Act, 2013. The study analyzes the critical contribution of Public Sector Enterprises with special reference to Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) in the select areas. Further, the study also presents the case study of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) towards implementation of CSR practices in the 4 districts of Telangana State. The study observes the institutional arrangement of the company and the various thrust areas which are addressed by the company as part of activities implemented under Corporate Social Responsibility.
